As Covid continues to claim the lives of people all over the country, we are truly saddened to hear of the latest Blantyre person to pass away from this disease.
Hearing that Brian Spencer passed away yesterday morning, Tuesday 2nd February 2021 fills our hearts with sorrow. He passed away in Hairmyres Hospital, after short battle with covid19. He was 67.
Brian was a popular, well known man in Blantyre. Born and bred, originally from Springwells, he was a much loved husband (married to Carol for 47 wonderful years). He was also a dad, grampa and brother. He was a welder all his days and a keen fisherman. We know he will be hugely missed by all.
His daughter, Kerry Ann Inglis told us, “We are utterly devastated to say the least. Rest easy dad You will always be in our hearts and thoughts every day and never be forgotten.”
Our thoughts go out to all his family at this sad time.
