First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, today set out an update for Scotland including news on schools and for businesses.
It is hoped this is the last lockdown with a clear end in sight.
Education and Schools
A phased return to school will continue. From 15th March 2021, remaining primary children will be going back to school, including P4-7 pupils. All Primary children will be able to return to regulated childcare.
Similarly schools at secondary school will gradually start to return to school with a view of all children returning by Easter. Before Easter, blended remote learning will continue.
Businesses
The Scottish Government is considering accelerating the exit of lockdown should the numbers continue to fall fast. Next week the First Minister will set out what restrictions can potentially be lifted from 15th March 2021, noting that excellent progress had been made.
Vaccinations
Over 1.63 million adults have now been vaccinated in Scotland. All adults with underlying health condition will be vaccinated by mid April 2021.
For now it’s stay safe, stay home and stick with it!
