Travel restrictions in Scotland have eased from today, Friday 16th April 2021 coinciding with people in Scotland now allowed to meet up in larger groups outdoors.
It is now permitted to travel over local authority boundaries throughout Scotland, meaning people can travel further afield again, as long as they do not stay overnight. Exceptions to this are published on the Scottish Government website.
Additionally, People will be allowed to meet now in Scotland, in groups of up to 6 adults from 6 households in outdoor settings. Further easing of many restrictions are next planned for 26th April in 10 days time.
The measures were eased earlier than planned to help people’s mental health.
