Blantyre Volunteer Ltd are to receive a funding boost of a whopping £25,000 to increase local residents social interaction and reducing loneliness.
The funding boost is part of a share of £150,000 for North and South Lanarkshire groups and projects, part of funding of SPT’s total allocation of more than £1.3 million across Strathclyde.
The funds will support the organisation’s provision of safe, accessible community transport services for groups and individuals. The grant will also assist their running costs.
As lockdown now ends, ensuring people of all ages are supported in being able to meet up with others again, is a truly worthwhile cause.
