John Lewis ‘Fud’ the Dragon

John Lewis marketing department had to revisit the name of one of their products this week to save their blushes.

The store launched “Fud the Dragon”, a £21 toy on their website sending twitter into meltdown.

Twitter user @Melisandreilidh posted about the questionable name choice on Saturday, writing: “Tell me you don’t have a Scottish person on your development team”

@NotTimorous said: There’s a Glaswegian working in the Marketing Department of a global business cackling their a*** off.”

Upon hearing what ‘Fud’ translates to in Scottish slang, John Lewis released a statement saying, “We’re updating our website now and will be giving ‘Fuddle Wuddle’ his full title in future.”
