When Blantyre resident Stephen Hawthorne recently had a tree cut in his garden, he decided to make use or the unsightly tree stump which was left, by turning it into something truly beautiful.
The talented individual set about creating “The Stonefield Bear” hand crafted into the wood. Blantyre Telegraph readers over on our supporters page have been following his amazing progress on the full size sculpture the last couple of weeks. Unveiled tonight Tuesday 27th July 2021, he now has a wonderful focal point right outside his door, a product of his skill, determination and sheer talent. Doesn’t it look amazing!
