Orla Smiling Again

There’s one story this week which touched us, prompting a need to help.

Blantyre lassie, Orla McGregor was upset last Monday 9th August to find callous thieves had stolen her plant, plant pot and solar lights. Orla had been tending to the plants, carefully looking after them herself and had beautified the area with some pretty lights. You can imagine her shock and her families anger when that morning, the items were all missing from outside the house.

Stealing from a wee lassie is literally the lowest of the low. Her mum Elaine told us, “My poor wee soul this morning. Someone had stolen her lavender plant, plant pot and her solar lights. She was pretty upset. The items weren’t dear but she did enjoy looking after them each day and night.”

Yesterday, we caught up with Orla and her mum and presented a £50 B&M Voucher to replace the missing items. As can be seen from the photo today, Orla has now been to the shop and bought fantastic new large pots and some beautiful, healthy and hardy plants. Hopefully with enough left over for some sweets.
