Fantastic news! Local people are to be offered a special ticket for the David Livingstone Birthplace.
After a four-year renovation, David Livingstone Birthplace is now open. The museum holds happy memories for Blantyre locals, who will have visited many times in the past – especially as school children! The museum has been completely transformed; redesigned to tell Livingstone’s story from his birth in Blantyre to his death in Zambia.
With Blantyre Futures, ‘Blantyre Community Action Plan’ in mind, the museum is keen to promote this local activity to the people of Blantyre for a special annual price.
Local tickets are priced at:
Adult ticket – £9.00
Child ticket – £3.60
Concession – £7.75
Family ticket – £21.60 (2ad & 2ch)
Under 5s FREE
This ticket allows entry for ONE YEAR.
You can purchase your ticket at the museum, with your Blantyre postcode. Anyone with a Blantyre postcode who has already been to the museum, can just pay a top up price next time they want to visit.
David Livingstone Birthplace will also be running a programme of events, so keep an eye out on their social media and website! www.david-livingstone-birthplace.org/events
