It’s Spider Season

September is here tomorrow, which means only one thing! Spider Season is just around the corner! You may want to look away.

As the heating gets switched back on these slightly cooler evenings, house spiders have come out from their hiding places. The weeks around September or so are their mating season. The spiders that you see stuck in the bath tub are usually males, who leave their webs hidden in the home to go out on the prowl looking for a female partner to mate with.

Spiders live in cracks, behind furniture, and they’re a particular fan of skirting boards – basically all of the places where they can get to but that we can’t really see. Experts say there is one dominant spider in every household room.

Have your say. Seen any this year? Photos?
