The West Craigs at Heart Group is fundraising to raise money to install defibrillators within the estate. This is as a result of some of their amazing family and friends sadly losing their lives to Cardiac Arrest.
Defibrillators have been posted in various parts of Blantyre already and now it’s the turn of Westcraigs, the intention being, they will be accessible for anyone who needs them in an emergency.
A spokesperson for the group told us, “We are doing many things to raise money to pay for them including having already carried out a door to door collection, gratefully having received donations from local businesses and had some of the children in the estate raise money through a car wash day.
The group wanted to say a huge thank you to three amazing boys who gave up their time to support us.
Zack Hamilton, Logan Duris and Harry Morrison and their fabulous mums held a car wash on 28th August and raised a phenomenal £300 for the Defibrillator fund! This will go a long way to helping us with installing the defibs in the estate.”
