The Regent Centre in Hamilton has been dealt a blow this week as it was announced the existing M&S Store is to close.
Staff were notified at the weekend that the town centre store will close but another, M&S Foodhall will open at Douglas Park Lane, Hamilton. Many members of staff will transfer to the new store and there will be opportunities for others to move to stores in Glasgow’s Argyle Street, Braehead and Silverburn.
However, it leaves another vacant store in the town centre.
