The Family Shopper store and Post Office is to temporarily close whilst construction work takes place, creating the brand new Agnews Cafe on Glasgow Road, Blantyre.
The store and post office will be temporarily closing on Monday 4th October 2021. This is to allow refurbishment to be carried out for the completion of Agnew’s brand new, licensed (sit-in) Café. The Agnew family are excited for everybody in Blantyre and beyond to see the new store and cafe and look forward to welcoming everybody.
During the renovation work, the existing Agnew’s Sandwich Shop at 237 Glasgow Road will remain open.
The new larger cafe at the back of the store (near the post office) will open its doors for the first time, all being well on Monday 25th October 2021 at 6am.
Owner David Agnew told us, “We are in talks with the post office to see if we can keep the ATM still working, but will up date before we close. “
A full new menu will be introduced in the café, however no need to worry, our most popular specials and our regular menu will still be available at our NEW food to go area. Keep your eyes peeled for our new menu and some sneak peek pics of our new store. We would also like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause to our local customers. All the staff are so excited to get into the new shop.”
