Blantyre Cubs were thrilled to visit the Western Desert Recce Group on Tuesday this week.
The WDRG hosted the local educational visit by the Blantyre Cub Scouts. Around twenty 8 to 10 year olds and their Adult leaders were were at WDRG HQ in Blantyre Industrial Estate. Entertaining the troops, front and centre, was Mr Pete Scally who kept the boys and girls fully engaged and educated all about WW2.
Feedback was very positive and after the presentation they all had a walk round the garage, inspecting the renovated wartime vehicles and the event concluded with juice and snacks (Sorry mums and dads if they were still hyper when they got home!). The kids all had a great time.
