What a wonderful, Christmassy day it’s been in Blantyre! We’re delighted to report that 127 local children and their families visited Santa today at Glen Travel on Glasgow Road.
Children from newborn babies up to 12 years of age not only got to meet Santa, but were treated to a brand new toy or packs of sweets from a huge choice. The festive event was a joint venture between Travel Agency firm, Glen Travel and ourselves Blantyre Telegraph and used the financial donations from this years Annual Blantyre Toy Drive to buy presents for the kids.
With thanks to the staff at Glen Travel, the volunteers, elves, Santa himself, and of course everybody who donated to this campaign for helping make it such a marvellous success! Our target was duly met yesterday, just as it has been for the last 3 years and it was truly heartwarming once again to see so many happy children.
