SLC Burgundy Bin Collection

South Lanarkshire Council have issued a statement about bin collections and services affecting the burgundy bin. (food and garden waste). They posted today:

“Due to rising levels of Covid-related staff absence, we are forced to make temporary changes to our waste collection services”

“In order to ensure we can continue to collect waste from residual (black/green) and recycling (blue/light grey) bins, we will not be emptying food and garden (burgundy) bins from Monday 10 January.”

“We hope to return the service from Monday 24 January and will advise accordingly.”

“In the meantime, please do not present your burgundy bin alongside other bins, which will still follow the regular collection calendar: https://orlo.uk/pF8OG
