Our Quarterly Fundraising

The totals are in for the last 3 months fundraising here at Blantyre Telegraph and what an AMAZING quarter it’s been with some tremendous things happening especially throughout the festive period. As always, it’s YOU who’s made it happen. We’re delighted to announce a very decent £2,112 was raised for local good causes!

We’ve now balanced all incoming funds to donations going out, with not one penny retained by us!

With £688 raised by our Supporter Group Subscriptions, £283 from very kind public donations, £863 in our Toy Drive Online Fundraiser and £278 from sale of Blantyre Project books, added to our overall fundraising total to date, it means Blantyre Telegraph (and its readers) have now raised a whopping £46,430 since the page started in 2011!

This £2,112 was entirely given back out to the Blantyre community. In the interests of transparency, published here in the following ways:

a) £25 towards Barry Watt’s Defibrillator Campaign.
b) £200 to Gail Duncan’s Calderside Academy Prom Campaign.
c) £50 to Kyle Monteith’s ‘Chris House’ charity night.
d) £72 Festive Buffet at Blantyre Old Parish
e) £120 Festive chocolates to many Blantyre businesses
