Clampdown on Scrambler Bikes

Local Community Police Officers from Blantyre have been teaming up with South Lanarkshire Council to tackle anti-social behaviour caused by scrambler bikes.

They covered McNulty Park/Stonefield Park, the playing fields next to the TACT Hall and the Priory Playing Pitches. All of these areas have recently been reported to Police as areas where scrambler type bikes are being ridden. Not only is this against the law but it is incredibly dangerous for other members of the public, children and pets who use the areas.

If you witness anti-social behaviour or illegal activity happening in your local area, please contact 101 or 999 in an emergency.

A spokesperson for the Police added, “Remember, if you see us on patrol, we’re happy to stop and have a chat about your community.”
