We’re thrilled to report that Major (Retd) Gary Wallace of the Western Desert Recce Group SCIO, based in High Blantyre Ind Estate, has been selected as a finalist, 1 out of 5, for the Scottish Veterans Awards 2022, Volunteer of the Year.
Gary has been put forward to the final in Edinburgh at the end of April.
The Charity, that he represents, provides a venue for Veterans and Local community members with the opportunity to restore, drive and display WW1 and WW2 vehicles and equipment at various events across the central belt throughout the year.
The group are situated at unit 1 block 3, Third Rd, Blantyre Ind. Estate, G72 0UP. It is ooen on Thursday evenings and Saturdays 10 till 4. All welcome to visit.
