Turning New York Tartan

The Theatre School of Scotland from Glasgow took part in the Tartan Day Parade in New York last week. New York’s Grand Central Station was brought to a standstill by the Scots theatre group who flash mobbed the crowd.

Dressed in tartan, around 70 members, aged between seven and 21, were in the Big Apple after being the first Scottish performing arts group to be invited to perform in the city’s Tartan Day parade.

Amongst those attending was Calderside Academy Pupil, Emillie Jamieson from Blantyre! The 14 year old is pictured with her mum Lynette.

There’s a wonderful video online of the whole group in the flash mob at Grand Central Station and so far it has 325 thousand shares. See here : https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10159629196360900&id=619935899
