June is here and with it brings the Bank holiday Jubilee celebrations.
Communities are celebrating in their own ways to mark the Queen’s remarkable 70 years on the throne. Starting off the celebrations are South Lanarkshire Schools today, who are all having their own exciting Jubilee party with a special lunch planned. South Lanarkshire Council however, have reported that there’s only one official street party in Lanarkshire, which is a marked difference from previous Jubilees. People it would seem are celebrating in other ways. Bunting has gone up in some Lanarkshire towns as organisations and individuals make their own anticipated arrangements.
Some people are lucky enough to be off work Thursday and Friday this week, coinciding with the School holidays. What other local celebrations are taking place locally this week?
