One of Andy Goram’s final wishes was that people attending his funeral could wear blue ties to honour Rangers Football Club, rather than wear traditional black ties.
The 58-year-old Rangers star was diagnosed with stage four oesophageal cancer in April and sadly passed away recently, leaving the Sporting world in shock.
Andy’s funeral cortege will leave from Blantyre from the famous Stonefield Tavern, tomorrow Monday 18th July. The Stonefield Tavern is owned by Stan Gordon a great pal of Andy’s with Stan helping organise the funeral. The procession leaves at 12 midday before going past Ibrox Stadium around 1pm, where wreaths will be laid. Hundreds of fans are expected to say farewell along the route.
