Pupils from Calderside Academy took part in South Lanarkshire Councils First Conference of Schools about Climate Change and Sustainability.
The event took place at the Palace Grounds in Hamilton where primary school pupils were taken through lots of activities relating to Sustainability and Climate Change. Calderside Academy, along with the help from Bikeability and Sports Development officers, took the pupils around the Palace Grounds on bikes to show them the benefits of cycling in helping to tackle climate change.
The organisers of the event spoke the pupils’ praises by saying they were incredibly helpful, keen and enthusiastic. The pupils taking part were Bailey McMahon, James Gibson, Olivia Leggat, Emma Legowski, Cooper Cunningham, Robbie Sutherland, Ewan McColl and Owen Gallagher.
Well done to everybody involved.
