Blantyre man Derek Whiteford is taking part in a charity event throughout November for Movember.
The challenge he’s accepted is to run 400 miles inside the 30 days of November. On average, this equates to 13.3 miles per day but some days are longer or shorter than others.
Derek told Blantyre Telegraph, “In the 1st 9 days I have so far completed 113.5 miles of the 400 and raised £391 so far. This is all in aid of Movember, the charity focused on Men’s mental health and suicide awareness and also testicular, prostate and other cancers.”
