With no public outdoor festive event in Blantyre this year, we’ll be exploring other events in nearby towns which offer plenty of family fun! The annual Christmas Lights Switch On for East Kilbride Village takes place this Sunday 20th November 2022 at 5pm. The festivities will be filled with free entertainment, games and giveaways ahead of the arrival of Santa!
Featuring:
• A traditional brass band playing Christmas Classics
• Gina McKie from Go Radio and Ali Wright from Clyde 1 FM entertaining the crowds with Christmas tunes and interactive family games
• The Rocking Christmas Singalong Show – Live music from trio Ernest
• Christmas Minions, The Elf on The Shelf and Paw Patrol Characters
• Balloon modellers
• Various local community acts
• Plus, Santa helping Provost Margaret Cooper switch on the Christmas Lights.
