Here comes the Snow

So, we’ve had ice, frost and extreme minus temperatures. Tomorrow, its time for snow!

Snowfall is expected in Lanarkshire from around 5am tomorrow morning, Friday 16th December 2022. Whilst that’s all very festive just over a week before Christmas, it will no doubt bring misery for commuters, causing problems on the roads. Forecasters are suggesting up to 3 inches at low levels in Central Belt.

Elsewhere in Scotland, Snowfall is likely to be heavier over higher ground above 200m, with 10-20cm possible. Further snow is expected on Sunday as a large band of snow passes over the country. However, as the weekend ends, snow will turn rapidly to sleet and rain.

Milder temperatures are set to return next week. (Hopefully defrosting all those boiler condensate pipes!)
