Residents in Craigmuir Road, High Blantyre and immediate surrounding area have been left without water today, following a burst water main.
As the hard packed icy ground defrosted, a water main has burst leaving residents without water. It was promptly reported to Scottish Water who have now set up temporary traffic lights at High Blantyre Cross, which is causing some queues in each direction for drivers.
One resident told us tonight, “We’ve still got no water. Scottish Water can’t seem to find the burst and have now given us bottled water.”
Water crews continue to attend to the repair.
