SLC to refurb playparks

South Lanarkshire Council has announced ambitious plans to renew and refurb 233 play parks.

Work will take place over the next 5 years using funding from he Scottish Government to bring parks up to modern standards.

From 2023 to 2024, the council will first target Larkhall, Rutherglen and Cambuslang play parks – refurbishing 31 in total. Then, between 2024 and 2025, Hamilton, Bothwell, Uddingston, Blantyre and Strathaven will be targeted, with a further 36 sites being renovated.
