A great turnout tonight as P7 pupils from local schools and their families attended Calderside Academy’s P7 to S1 transition evening.
A lot of valued information was provided in the hour long meeting to assist the youngsters in their BIG step up to the High School in August. Hundreds of local people heard from existing S1 pupils and various faculty head teachers about what pupils and parents can expect next year.
The event was the second of its kind, following a similar evening last November with existing P7 primary pupils having visited the school last week.
The August intake will see a large S1 next year, with around 264 pupils arriving to the school. Calderside School hours will be Monday and Tuesday 8.50am – 3.50pm and finishing at 3.00pm on Wednesdays to Fridays. Lots of positive feedback.
