A reminder, the BIG day is here! David Livingstone Birthplace’s community fun day is today, Thursday 27th July from 11am until 3pm.
Located at their grounds just off Station Road, the event is in partnership with Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue, Scottish Ambulance Service, and many more. A great day out, it includes a nature trail, gardeners’ talk, crafts, and the races will be back!
We heard a whisper the vintage cars were coming again – they were amazing to see last time.
Join David Livingstone Birthplace staff and volunteers for a day full of family fun.
Are you bringing your favourite stuffed animal for the teddy bear picnic? There’s a nature trail in the park – see what mini beasts and lovely flowers you can find, and there is a prize-winning quiz in the museum.
Craft sessions can be booked on the day, and the races and games will be back. Get your running shoes on and join your age range and run as fast as you can. Enter the egg and spoon or the sack races – register on the day for your favourite, then join in rounders and the tug of war.
We’re sure there will be something for everyone. See you there!
This event is kindly supported by all uniformed organisations and Asda Blantyre.
