We were saddened to hear of the passing of local man, Jim McGuire.
Jim died peacefully surrounded by his loving family in Hairmyres coronary care unit following a very short illness . He was 76. Originally from Motherwell, Jim moved to Blantyre when he married wife, Mary Barr and had been here in Blantyre for 54 years.
The family have released funeral arrangements, which take place in St Joseph’s Chapel, Glasgow Road, Blantyre on Sunday 6th August 2023 at 5pm when he will be received. The Funeral mass will take place on Monday 7th August 2023 at 10am. Then on to Priestfield Cemetery and then to Blantyre Miners Welfare. All are welcome. Family flowers only please.
