Our Supporters Group heard exclusively back in June about Greggs plans for expansion in Blantyre. We now have further confirmed information on this.
The derelict former Tim Hortons unit at Hamilton Technology Park, High Blantyre will soon have a new tenant as well known bakers, Greggs move in.
The commercial property has been empty since the pandemic, but recently attracted interest from neighbouring Greggs, keen to expand their premises. The deal now done, Greggs will retain the premises they have presently but expand also into the neighbouring empty unit.
This is all fairly imminent with Greggs intending to temporarily close at the Technology Park for a few weeks throughout September, for renovation and fit out work, re-opening again quickly afterwards in October 2023.
