Commuters should expect some significant disruption around the approaches to East Kilbride this November.
Essential resurfacing on the #A725 at Whirlies Roundabout in East Kilbride will commence on Friday 17th November and be completed by Monday 20th November 2023, in time for Christmas shopping.
The work will be carried out using a full weekend closure of the roundabout between 8pm on Friday 17th November and 6am on Monday 20th November 2023.
There will be additional road closures during these works:
The A749 Kingsway between Mavor Roundabout and Whirlies Roundabout will be closed to through traffic, with access for the retail park only (Lees Burn Court) from Mavor Roundabout.
The A725 Kingsway between Whirlies Roundabout and Whitemoss Roundabout will be closed in both directions.
The B783 East Mains Road will be closed in both directions between Whirlies Roundabout and Gullion Park.
There will be no access to or from Whirlies Roundabout and Calderwood Road.
