Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are undertaking essential weekend resurfacing on the A725 southbound between High Blantyre and Burnbank from Friday 15th December until Monday 18th December 2023.
This scheme, on the East Kilbride Expressway at the B7012 Main Street, Blantyre Junction (Auchinraith), will benefit around 26,000 vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
The work will be carried out using a full weekend closure at this locationand a signed diversion will be in operation. We thank road users for their patience and co-operation while this essential work takes place.
A closure will be in place from 8pm on Friday 15th December until 6am on Monday 18th December 2023 with southbound traffic diverted around the works area by following the off and on-slip roads at the B7012 Junction. Northbound traffic heading to Raith will not be affected by these works.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
