Some people are still waiting for bins to be emptied. South Lanarkshire Council have issued a statement at 4pm this afternoon saying
“Poor weather earlier in the week means we may be late collecting your bins.
Given the time of year, we are prioritising the collection of black (non-recyclable waste) and blue (paper and card recycling) bins.
Our crews will be working up until Sunday 31 December but if your bin has not been collected by 5pm that day then please take your bin in and re-present it on the next scheduled collection day for that bin type.”
