In the midst of threats of hall closures in Blantyre, there’s a beacon of hope, some positive, exciting news that at least ONE hall will definitely be saved!
Blantyre Soccer Academy have today, Wednesday 21st February 2024 announced that they have been successful in securing Larkfield Community Hall and the nearby bing as part of a Community Asset Transfer. Acquiring the property and bing from South Lanarkshire Council means plans can now progress for brand new pitches, several notable improvements to the area as well as the secure future of a community hall for the use by all.
It would appear Larkfield Hall is saved. Well done to all involved and to the Council Planning for seeing sense.
