Police have confirmed that a burned body that was found near a football pitch in Motherwell was that of a man.
The grim discovery was made near parklands by a shocked dog walker. A police statement yesterday commented, “Around 9am on Saturday, 24 February, 2024 the body of a man was discovered in the Margaret Drive area of Motherwell.
His death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are at an early stage to establish the full circumstances.”
Officers remained at the scene for most of the day yesterday. Anyone with information or concerns can speak to Police by calling 101 quoting reference 0923.
