Those wondering what the vacant ground at the corner of Auchinraith Road and Main Street, High Blantyre is to be used for, need wait no longer.
McDonalds is coming to Blantyre.
The global fast food giant has announced exciting plans to build a small drive through in the coming year.
McDonalds Regional Marketing Manager, Mr Eurtton told Telegraph last week, “As part of our multi million pound regional expansion, we’re delighted to be bringing another drive through to Lanarkshire, and in particular into the Blantyre area”.
“Our modular builds allow quick turnaround from planning to completion on site and intention is local residents will soon be able to enjoy all our exciting meals and products, right on their doorstep.”
Construction is expected to commence in drier summer months, as early as July 2024.
