High Blantyre Primary Eco Flag

High Blantyre Primary have been awarded their 8th Eco Schools Green Flag!

The primary school has been Green Flag holders since 2006 and were recently delighted to have been awarded their 8th Eco Schools Green Flag.

Assessors acknowledge the amount of work that went into their Green Flag journey. They noted that the whole journey was focused on the pupils and their leadership of projects and that it was clear from their evidence that the entirety of their Eco-Schools work is pupil-led which is exactly what they hope to see.

The Eco Committee worked hard on waste reduction by carrying out community litter picks, presenting a litter awareness assembly and holding no plastic days to reduce the amount of single use plastics brought into school, as a small part of their action plan.

Well done to all the pupils and their fantastic, appreciated efforts.
