Missing Defibrillator at High Blantyre

Some disappointing news tonight. The Community defibrillator at Blantyre Old Parish Church is unfortunately missing.

Scottish Ambulance Service have confirmed it has NOT been accessed, so it has been reported to Police this morning, Monday 13th May 2024.

A concerned church elder told us, “I’ve hardly slept as obviously in the wrong hands this life saving equipment would be dangerous and I have been praying all night for its return.”

So the ask is simple. Could all readers please keep an eye out for it. it is orange and the housing is yellow. The grab bag with scissors etc is gone too. Anyone with any information should contact the church on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/BlantyreOldParishChurch

  1. Makes me “bealin”!
I’d can’t say what I really want to say. Reasonable publications prevent that language!
The scum who do this may well need one later in life.
Idiots who need serious disciplinary action if and when caught. Fines and probation are not effective deterrents.

  2. Great news! Following this appeal to look for the missing defibrillator, it’s been traced! A church spokesperson told us today, ” I now have the Defibrillator back and it will be back on the circuit asap. It was accessed by Blakeley’s bar for a Customer who is well and on the mend. For whatever reason we did not get our notification that it had been used a while back.” All is well. Thanks to the church for their original message and this welcome update.
