A little more information on yesterday’s vehicle accident at Stonefield Road, Blantyre.
We’ve now been in touch with the driver of one of the vehicles. The man driving the silver Hyundai which was involved in the car crash had been driving down Stonefield Road when the yellow Fiat Panda came from Broompark Road turning into Stonefield Road without giving way.
The impact caused the silver car to spin around, given the force it hit with. Police arrived quickly and an ambulance took the male driver of the silver car to Hospital where he spent Saturday afternoon being checked over. He has no fractures but is sore and released tonight to go back home. Thankfully he was in the car alone.
The police came to see him in hospital to provide an update and are investigating the actions of the Fiat driver and the cause of the incident. The driver of the Gaspro van was simply a witness and kindly stopped to help.
