Halfway edges a little closer to Blantyre this week, as a housing company looks set to announce their new housing estate.
Miller Homes is set to launch ‘The Hedgerows’ next to Manse Brae, Halfway, Cambuslang on Saturday, November 2nd. The new development situated just off Hamilton Road, directly opposite the Flemington turnoff, is set to bring 182 new homes to the area.
The Hedgerows will feature a range of brand new energy-efficient three, four and five-bedroom homes, designed with modern family living in mind.

Sounds like a nice story for those contemplating a home purchase in the area.
Average family being 4 COULD mean over 700 folks added to the area, and possibly another 300 cars.
A subject close to my heart here is the ongoing development of homes and apartments without any considerations to the roads infrastructure.
Result is more jam packed roads, wasted fuel and potential for road rage if not hypertension and heart issues.
On my many trips back to Blantyre, I am well aware of heavier traffic in towns….Blantyre, Hamilton, Bellshill and East Kilbride are good examples, not to mention main trunk roads throughout the country.
