Having been the victim of indemnity theft and stolen intellectual property this week, we’ve put ourselves through full verification with Meta, and thrilled to say, we now have blue tick verification against everywhere Blantyre Telegraph’s name appears. Our Pages and Admin account now have Meta’s official blue tick offering us greater access to support, protection against account impersonation or cloning.
When you’re interacting with us in comments, messages or pages, you’ll know exactly that you’re dealing with the real Blantyre Telegraph account. Verification, as a long awaited development is also being rolled out to our other accounts on other social platforms including quickly growing Instagram account, X, Youtube and our main website. It’s a much welcomed step forward for us.
On a personal note, having worked on Telegraph as a non profit charitable page for a quarter of my life, you may understand exactly why it is so important for me to avoid others using my identity, and ensure my businesses and the monumental effort put into them, as an unpaid volunteer, are fiercely protected.
