Helen McKean shared this photo, which appears to be a rare, albino otter or mink.
It was photographed on Friday at the Calder, just west of Blantyre. Taking refuge out of the inclement weather. Apologies for the quality of the photo, which is due entirely to us zooming in, to deliberately exclude the location.
The last time we were aware of such a sighting was about 2017.
Aye, difficult to tell from this pic but if web feet and flat tail, then otter.
The face looks blunt like otter. Mink has more pointed nose
