Some windy weather is forecast later today, Sunday 24th November 2024.
Following the ice and snow of yesterday, temperatures are a little warmer and climbing as the thaw continues. A tree had fallen at Sydes Brae, yesterday partially blocking the road at High Blantyre, but is now cleared, passable. Not so much the wind which brought it down, but the sheer weight of water laden snow.
