Renovation of the former Larkfield Hall continues as these excellent photos show. Saved from Council closure by Blantyre Soccer Academy, the hall recently renamed as ‘Blantyre Community Trust Hub’ has undergone an incredible transformation.
BSA after acquiring the building via community asset transfer, got their keys in August and didn’t waste any time in getting the renovation started. They found out quickly the sheer extent of necessary work. Outdoors there was rendering, repairs and new windows and doors. Indoors, ripped right back to the fabric, properly insulated and reframed and wired.
We’ll be keeping readers updated on the build and of course when the official opening takes place. Well done BSA for all your efforts to date.
