Great story this Sunday! Blantyre resident Suzanne McAdam got a brilliant response to her campaign to help pets this winter!
If you recall, we posted a couple of weeks ago when Suzanne reached out to the community to collect in towels, dog beds, blankets and toys. The community certainly rallied and Suzanne and her family then went round everybody personally collecting the donated items. And so many of them too!
In amongst those significant donations, we were pleased to help out by donating a new dog bed.
But it was Suzanne’s efforts which stood out. All the items were for the Dogs Trust and Bothwell Cat and Dog Home. The staff at the shelter were absolutely amazed at the sheer amount of items, which are all intended to be put to good use to the maximum benefit of all the animals.
Suzanne and the Dogs Trust would like to thank everybody who donated. Well done on spreading some Christmas cheer. We’re sure you’ll agree, this was an extremely thoughtful and caring endeavour!
