Rise in Eco Friendly Cars

Electric vehicles (EVs) have now outsold diesel cars in the UK in 2024, marking a pivotal shift in consumer preferences.

As government incentives and a growing EV infrastructure reduce barriers, it would appear more drivers are embracing sustainable transport options and opting for electric cars. This year alone, nearly a third of new cars sold were EVs, driven by awareness of climate change and the 2030 ban on petrol and diesel car sales.

“This is a green revolution in motion,” said an industry spokesperson. Have your say. Is Scotland ready for electric vehicles outweighing petrol and diesel?
