The family of local man, Bill Sim have been in touch to say that he sadly passed away yesterday, Monday 23rd December 2024.
Bill, a Blantyre man was in his late 70s. He lived in Baird’s Rows, Glasgow Road and Fernslea Avenue and more recently was occasionally abroad. A private man, his assistance in helping create a heritage display in the Blantyre Miners Welfare was much applauded. In recent decades, Bill became well known in Blantyre for running his ‘Blantyre’s Ain’ website and for his unwavering interest in local history.
Our sympathies are with the Campbell and Sim family tonight in their sad time. If they wish to put up funeral details at a later date, they only need to ask. Rest in Peace.
