TikTok Unblocked: What US Users Need to Know

Tik Tok has been in the news a LOT today as 170 million US users found themselves unable to access the app. A ban was implemented locking out US citizens.

However in some breaking news, TikTok has now resumed services for its 170 million US users tonight after President-elect Donald Trump announced plans to issue an executive order granting the app a temporary reprieve when he takes office on Monday.

The Chinese-owned platform ceased functioning for American users on Saturday evening following the enforcement of a law banning it on national security grounds.

Although Trump had previously supported banning TikTok, he pledged on Sunday to delay the law’s implementation to allow additional time for a resolution. In response, TikTok confirmed it was in the process of “restoring service”.

Tik Tok users have already taken to the platform to ‘thank’ Trump.
