- Make sure they come recommend or you can see all their work online. If they can’t show all of their recent work, avoid them.
- All contractors should have the necessary insurance and offer you some sort of guarantee on their work.
- Be wary of particularly cheap quotes. Often they’re cheap for a reason. You don’t want to be paying for another fence in the near future!!
- Avoid making up front cash payments unless you know them or recommended by people already who have used them.
Thankfully there are many reputable contractors out there, so its always worth pausing first, and carefully deciding who to use, to protect your rights and finances.
